About Judy
March 31, 2009Hi everyone! Welcome to my blog!
Every since I was a little girl, I’ve always loved being in front of the camera and having my pictures taken. And now…as an adult, I LOVE being behind the camera as a wedding photographer capturing moments as the day unfolds and as memories make everlasting history. As a wedding photographer based in Los Angeles County (also serving Orange County and destination weddings), my aspiration is to tell a vivid story of your celebration through a photojournalistic approach. Â My passion for photography has allowed me to create and deliver artistic photographs with an edgy and modern style and feel.
I currently live in West Covina with my fiance, Gavin (of Gavin Photography), our two ADORABLE cats, Powder & Button and two rabbits, Monty and Coco! Â They were all rescued animals. Â I strongly recommend rescuing and adopting rather than buying because there are so many pets out there that need a home otherwise they would be put to sleep. Â Aside from an animal lover, I’m also a big sucker for Teddy Bears! Yes… being in my mid-twenties I still fall in love with Teddies. Believe it or not but I have over 50 teddy bears at our place.
As a soon to be bride,  I feel and understand the excitement (along with the stress) that comes with wedding planning.  My biggest tips to all bride-to-be are  1.) Have a budget and 2.) Prioritize.  Think about what is important to you.  For example, I want my guests to have fun and enjoy themselves, so on the top of my list: food, alcohol and entertainment. On the bottom of my list:  Party favors and centerpieces.  While these things are nice, but not truly necessary.  Everyone that celebrated your wedding with you will remember your day for its wonderful meal, or awesome entertainment.  They will rarely recall how pretty the hall was decked out or the party favors that they brought home.  Another important item in wedding planning is choosing a right photographer. To me, wedding photographs are the most valuable memories that can be shared from one person to another and passed on from one generation to the next.  And I’m not just saying that because I am a professional wedding photographer but I am saying it as a bride-to-be myself.  Photos are all that you have left at the end of the day, so make sure your wedding photographer will deliver photos that when one looks through they will feel like they’re at the wedding all over again.  I want to photograph each wedding as if it were my own wedding.  The biggest compliment for me is to create a work of art that will be cherished and passed on in your family for many years to come!

You two are two of the BEST photographers I’ve ever seen period. LOVE you work. You two look as well as work well together. I’m looking forward to starting my photography career in the very near future. I would love for my wife to join me, but it’s not quite her thing so. Before I graduate to a more pro style camera, I’d like to start out with the Nikon D5000. Been looking at that one for some time now. Love that swivel LCD screen. Any suggestions on getting my good foot in the business? Currently I also am a mail carrier, but it’s not my thing. I did some photography work when I lived in Indiana a few years back and fell in love with it. I’m also Graphic Designer.
Won’t bore you anymore. Sorry.
Give Gavin my best and congratulations to you both on two successful careers.
