Judy & Gavin Photography Interviewed and Featured on LA Weekly Blog

It was such an honor when journalist Sean O’Connell from LA weekly contacted us for an interview when writing his piece about the Walt Disney Concert Hall’s 10 year anniversary.  Being that Gavin and I shoot engagement and wedding photography so frequently at the Walt Disney Concert Hall, he wanted picked our brains about the photographic significance of this historic landmark.  And there is no doubt about it… the Walt Disney Concert Hall is gorgeous and we love shooting there!!  With it’s beautiful curves and charming terrace garden, the WDCH has become a very popular location for photos.  Gavin and I get a lot of requests to shoot at the WDCH, and each time we always try to give each couple something different.  And for couples who want to stay away from the Walt Disney Concert Hall (because it’s too popular), neighboring spots (such as the Department of Water & Power, the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion,  Grand Park, LACMA, etc.) are beautiful places to check out as well.

Downtown Los Angeles is such a beautiful place for engagement and wedding photos.  Our advice to other photographers to definitely take advantage of it’s beauty and provide the best photos we can.  However, as photographers, we should also be respectful of the locations (we’re shooting at) and be kind to the people around us (i.e. staff, tourists, etc.).  That way… we can forever enjoy the beautiful locations Los Angeles has to offer.

Thank you LA Weekly and specifically Sean O’Connell for the interview.  It’s definitely a honor to be a part of the article.  And a BIG Happy Birthday to the Walt Disney Concert Hall… Happy 10 years!!
